 Bereavement
support services are dedicated to helping you during the challenging time of grieving
for a loved one. The HospiceCare team is available to provide information and
support related to your journey of grief. Our
Kids Express program focuses on helping children
cope with the loss of a loved one.
The programs are
designed to help you understand your grieving, to provide you with support and
encouragement, and to give suggestions on things to do during this difficult time.
Our bereavement program offers other services you may wish
to utilize now or at any time during the coming year. These include: Resource
Lending Library
Books,
videos, and cassettes on the topic of grieving are located in our Pittsfield office.
Supportive Grief Counseling
Short-term
supportive grief counseling is available. Referrals can be made to area therapists

HospiceCare
can provide speakers and training about the impact of loss and supportive interventions
to assist the bereaved. If your needs are not met by these
services, you may contact the HospiceCare
Bereavement Coordinator to explore other options
or resources. Although no letter or program can erase the
pain of your loss, these services have helped many bereaved family members to
better understand and cope with their grief.
