So often, children are the "forgotten mourners," whose grief goes unrecognized, unsupported, and, consequently, expressed in ways that are detrimental to both the child and those around him or her.
Hospice provides an outlet for grieving children through the Kids Express program. Children are giving access to a wide range of expressive tools including art, dance, movement, letter-writing, play, and creating memory boxes in remembrance of their loved one. Kids Express is committed to healing grieving children by fostering creativity in the children and developing understanding and communication skills in the adults who support them.
